RAISEITFORWARDFL –ABSOLUT ELYX EARTH DAY GIVEAWAY IN SUPPORT OF WATER FOR PEOPLE

Sustainability and environmental impact have become fundamental issues when making lifestyle choices here at The Healthy Bartender. And it feels good to partner with a brand that embodies the same philosophy.

I had the pleasure to host an Absolut Elyx #CopperMakesItBetter charity cocktail party last month, here in Palm Beach, and had the opportunity to hear first hand about the Absolut Elyx philosophy from South Florida On Premise Market Manager for Pernod Ricard USA, Ayinde Chase:

Even by the time Absolut Master Distiller Krister Asplund first started producing Absolut vodka back in 1982, environmental considerations were a natural part of every business decision. These beliefs and principles were put on paper in the 1990s in a formal environmental strategy with four main goals that still apply today:

The reduction of energy consumption

The reduction of the environmental impact of wheat farming

The reduction of emissions from transportation

The reduction of water consumption.

Now in its fourth year, Absolut Elyx partnership with non-profit Water for People works to donate clean water to those in need. And they rely on our support.

For every bottle of Elyx or Elyx copper vessels sold, Absolut provides one week’s supply—that’s about 140 liters– of safe water to someone most in need.

Every year from World Water Day (March 22) through Earth Day (April 22), Absolut encourages a fun social campaign: #RaiseItForward

To get involved, simply Instagram a picture of yourself raising any glass, include the hashtag #RaiseItForward, and tag @absolutelyx. By doing so, you ensure that Absolut Elyx will provide a week’s supply of water to someone in need.

And this year, by adding #RaiseitforwardFL, local Floridians can show their support locally with a chance to win a Magnum of Absolut Elyx.
